Orgasm during pregnancy is safe but there is a surge of hormones and the prostaglandin hormones in the semen may initiate contractions. Sex during pregnancy is considered to be safe. Nature has provided excellent cushioning and protection for the fetus, making it impervious to harm. The baby floats in a bag of water held within the thick muscular uterus. The uterus is further protected by strong abdominal wall muscles and the bony pelvis. Even the cervix is closed by the thick mucus plug. so you can see that nature is pretty sure that it will protect the baby. So why do you worry?
